My Story - Jordan Green

Growing up as a child on the Central Coast I played many different sports such as baseball, rugby, tennis, basketball and indoor soccer. When injuries plagued me in my early to mid teens I was forced to hang up the boots on some of my favourite sports. From there my involvement in fitness activities was stagnant until the age of 18 where I developed quite an interest in weight training and pursued this for the following year.

At the age of 19 I took up a career in the IT industry. After several years of fitness inactivity and long work hours, the stress took a toll on my health and before I knew it I had put on 15kgs and was suffering from a number of health issues, including chronic reflux. After numerous medical tests and prescription medication I was told that all my medical issues were due to being overweight. This prompted me to get back into fitness training.

At the age of 25 I got back into weights and cardio and over a span of a few months I dropped my excess weight. I continued to train on and off for a few years to maintain my fitness levels. It was not until I was 28 that fitness became a complete passion for me. Not only do I see training as a great way to maintain my health, I enjoy the social aspect of working out with friends and it's also a great way to zone out and have some 'me' time.

With my new found passion I decided I wanted to share my story with everyone and encourage others to improve their own fitness and wellbeing. I completed my Certificate III and IV in Fitness through the Australian Institute of Personal Trainers and since then I have never looked back. East Coast Fitness was born.
